FROM SOCIAL MOVEMENTS
FOR
MOBILIZATIONS AGAINST THE WAR, NEOLIBERALISM, EXPLOITATION
AND EXCLUSION
ANOTHER
WORLD IS POSSIBLE
We
are social movements gathered in the 5th World
Social Forum. The great success of the
plural and massive participation in the Forum gives
us the possibility and the responsibility to organize more
and better our campaigns and mobilizations, to expand and
strengthen our struggles.
Four
years ago the collective and global call for ANOTHER WORLD
IS POSSIBLE broke the lie that neoliberal domination is
unavoidable as well as the acceptance of the "normality"
of war, of social inequalities, racism, casts, patriarchy,
imperialism and the destruction of the environment. As
people take this truth as their own their strength becomes
unstoppable and it starts materialising in concrete actions
of resistance, for demands and proposals.

Social
Forum,
Paris:
11/12-15/03
Second
European Social Forum will take place from
12th-15th November 2003 in Paris as well as the towns
of St Denis , as well as Bobigny ( Seine-Saint-Denis)
and Ivry (Val de Marne). After Florence this ESF is
the second continenental social forum in Europe
following on and in the spirit of the World
Social Forum of Porto Alegre.
Place
for meeting and discussion for social movements, the
ESF is equally a space for the elaboration of
alternatives and the strategies for their
implementation. Because, we believe that another
Europe is possible , and that it can play a decisive
role in making another world possible.

4th
WORLD SOCIAL FORUM
India,
Mumbai / 16-21
January 2004
The
4th World Social Forum, the largest annual global
event that challenges imperialism and neo-liberal
globalisation, will be held in India in 2004. About
75,000 people from across the world will come together
in Mumbai from 16 to 21 January 2004 to discuss
strategies to build a more just, people-centred world
order.
The
six-day Forum is to be held at the NESCO grounds in
Goregaon and will include huge public meetings, panels,
and about 800 seminars and debates focussing on:

Imperialist globalisation
-
Militarism and peace
-
Communalism, religious fanaticism and sectarian
violence
-
Racism, casteism, work and descent-based exclusions
and discrimination
-
Patriarchy
